They actually have a screen over the top of the tank but I had it off in the other pictures cause I had just put the stuff in haha

Oh and also we locked the cat in the basement today and until we get the cage set up so no worries there either haha

The cage is pretty high up and also has small bar spacing so they will be safe in there.

They should theoretically be safe in the tank too but I don’t want her jumping on it and traumatizing them or anything haha especially since it’s on the ground.

And not to worry, our basement is finished and heated and has plenty of comfy furniture to sleep on as well as her cat tree and plenty of food and water so it’s hardly a punishment.

Was it hard to photograph the hummingbirds?

Not really, I just take a bunch of pictures and hope I get 1 or 2 good ones....sometimes that means 1 out of 15....

Yesss!! I just got them today! Was gonna wait till the cage got here but there was a super friendly one there last night when I went and I didn’t want him to be sold so I went back this morning and got him and a friend. cage should hopefully be here tomorrow.

No names yet but was thinking Jackson for the boy after a character on a show I just watched and really liked but my mom said she doesn’t like that name/thinks it sounds cold? So now idk it’s been stuck in my head since before I even got them though for whatever reason haha so we’ll see. But I also kind of would like a themed set of names and I don’t like the girls names from that show for a bird and don’t really want random/non matching names so we’ll see. I’ll probably name them random names though.
