@oldhenlikesdogs I know this is your kitty thread but I wanted to ask if you think I could paint the inside of the bird cage we are building..? I already painted the outside and had started painting some of the inside then was wondering if that was a good idea... I didn’t know if it would be bad for the birds or really no big deal.. if it’s bad partial of it will have paint as I did do some before I thought about it... can’t change that now.. I’m really just wanting to know if I can just go ahead and finish painting it... or leave it..?

When I painted my home made cage I did the inside on the first one, but not the second one. It didn't seem to matter. Parakeets will chew on wood, so it's probably best to not paint the inside, but I don't think it would cause any harm. So I guess I ended up saying you can or you can't.

Haha! Thanks! Well, I just might leave it like it is then... it doesn’t look bad and I don’t think it’ll be too noticeable when all put together... but it sort of does bother me a little... I’m weird that way

Thanks! I think she does too.

And she’s so cute. She seems much happier now that she’s been being let out every day and when you go outside she comes up and starts purring and rubbing all over you and doing that pacing thing they do lol it’s so cute

She just like hangs out wanting to be petted for forever lol

Most cats are happier outside. There's more to do out there. it can be hard to balance their happiness with keeping them safe.
