Kitty and Dog Thread, Show Me What You Got, other critters welcome too

I can see why you want one Kelsey. They are a wonderful breed of dog.

They really are!! And from everything I’ve read and experienced with the ones I’ve met, they seem so perfect. So sweet, gentle, loving and so handler focused and ready to learn or do whatever. :love

Labs are great too but Goldens seem to have that extra little bit of handler focused and do anything to please you/try so hard energy and almost a bit smarter or at least willing to try whatever to figure out what you want haha

Bindi my Golden Retriever/Aussie
She is fantastic...View attachment 1935483View attachment 1935485

Maybe I need a Golden/Aussie mix.... hmmmm.... that sounds perfect. :lau

She’s a cutie. :love

Oh, she’s so cute!!

X2!!

Girl, you look like you were in doggie heaven

Oh I so was!! :lau

This is Loki (small) and Dino (bigger)!
They are American Hairless Terriers. Loki is 2 and Dino is 3. Both are ESA and Dino is trained in spotting and dealing with anxiety.

I've had, and have a rat terrier mix. I haven't ever seen the American hairless in person. It's so interesting that the gene was bred for in the rat terrier until they became their own breed. Are they still good hunters? Do you need to do anything special for skin care? They sure are adorable pups. :) I love rat terriers, so I'm sure I would love the American hairless. I bet they are hot little pups too. Love those speckles.

I'm impressed. For starters, you are the first person to know anything about their lineage. You should get a badge or something for that lol. :D

For skin care is just sun block in the summer anytime outside, and just lotion as needed in the winter. Then we bath then every 10-14 days depending hows much fun they've had.

Because of the lack of hair (armor) I try to be cautious with what they chase. They do still have a healthy pretty drive, but control it very well (they are both very trained too). They are both allowed around the ducks and chickens here, and get a face to face intro to any new birds/chicks.

If you like to get snugly with your dog, you'd love these guys. It's like sleeping with a baby, and they love the blankets. :D
