My kitty lives outside. They develop a nice coat out there. We occasionally get strays passing through, but most are too terrified to stay for very long. There's been a smallish orange cat hanging out in our garage for the past 3 weeks or so. He's a good looking guy with long hair but pretty wild and he's scared to death of people. Makes me feel bad he's outside with the cold weather we've been having but he is eating the food I put out for him every day. Poor guy.
I have 2 strays I've tried to befriend, Skitters, and Pirate...who we affectionately call Gutter Kitty(we live on the end of a three way street that has gutters--and you guessed it, he goes in them like the other strays)
Skitters showed up one day and used to hang around our yard, so he was the one I usually fed. (And still do) Gutter Kitty always has hung out on our side of the street, I just never fed him until a little later. Both are still pretty suspicious of me, but Gutter Kitty is by far the friendlier one and will even rub his head against my hand. (He won't let me pet him though lol)

And a bonus picture of the other day when we were putting up Christmas lights, and one of my ducks flew into our front yard. Skitters settled himself down to watch her rummage in the bushes

Us too!How has everyone's Christmas tree been holding up to the felines?
We've had a couple of wobbles and one crash, but other than that, we're doing pretty well considering we have 3 indoor cats!
