I’m having a very hard time getting below the 50 limit

So here’s just a few LOL

I’ll try to post more but going to try to limit it I just have soooo many pictures it’s hard to choose LOL but I will narrow it down

For now, here’s the littles and some of the bigs lol

The three amigos or should I say amigas? or three musketeers lol they’re best friends. From left to right: Poppy (Speckled Sussex), Peach (Easter Egger), Little One (Or as my dad calls her, The Colonel LOL; White Leghorn)

I think this is Amber but I’m not really sure one has bigger wattles and comb but hard to tell unless they’re side by side lol but Amber is also darker and smaller so I’m pretty sure this is Amber. Anyway, she’s a Buff Orpington as you probably guessed lol

That's a nice flock. Very diverse and colorful. You must get a pretty bunch of eggs too.

The Barred Rock in the pics is May (short for Mayflower) who passed away the end of July for unknown reasons. I am thinking it was the heat and/or reproductive issues cause we had a really hot spell and she was older but I am not sure because I could not bear to necropsy her

She would have been 4 the end of next month.

So I had 12 and now down to 11.

Currently I have:

2 Black Australorps (Blackie and Beauty after Black Beauty LOL)

2 Buff Orpingtons (Amber and Angel)

3 Easter Eggers (Bunny, Diva, and Peach)

1 White Leghorn (Little One/The Colonel)

1 Delaware (Sweetpea)

1 Partridge Rock (Autumn)

1 Speckled Sussex (Poppy)

I also used to have a third Buff Orpington (Penny), but she got taken by a hawk about 2 years ago in the fall, before they moved into the new coop (April of last year) and before I got the new chicks (April of this year).

She was my favorite hen at the time but these littles are making their way up there lol don’t tell the bigs.

Anyway, the Australorps, Orpingtons, and 2 of the Easter Eggers, will be 4 years old at the end of next month and the other 5 are the new chicks I added in April of this year.

Sorry for your loss ... my first group of eight I got spring of 2018.. I rehomed my GLW.. she was a bully.. so had seven ... then this March I got three.. then end of March I got four and rehomed a roo... then May I got three more .. so sixteen gals now.. waiting on the EEs to start laying...

And wow chicken math really hit you huh!?

I stuck strictly to 8, my parents had said no more, and I kept to it, but they love them now so let me get more lol and I let my dad help choose so that helped

I think I actually ordered some last year or two years ago or something, I made a post here about it but then I cancelled it LOL

But then I got some more this year finally.

Now I’m wanting to build a separate coop and get a strictly layer flock though
