Kitty and Dog Thread, Show Me What You Got, other critters welcome too

After an eventful trip out of town where our girls decided to escape (they were finally caught), I'm grateful to be home and able to see them again.
They're staying in our neighbors pen until we move, and we're working to bulk them up as they are still skinny from when we brought them (Daphne is a little more so than Staples).

This is Poppy, our 11 year old red Welsh shorthair border collie. She loves our chickies and guards them from cats who occasionally prowl the field behind our back garden. She still plays like a pup, I don't think she realises her own ages sometimes she overdoes it sometimes running around like a nutter. She just been diagnosed with a heart murmur so she needs to start slowing down a bit!

Boo (rescued not long before Halloween) a very tiny kitten was rescued from my boxer. He (Dexter) had her in his mouth. I was going to keep her as a barn cat, but she was so young.
I didn't mean to keep her in the house at all, but now she's spayed, has $$$ of toys, trees, scratchers, food bowls....

Truman, the sweetest dog that ever lived. He was a rescue too. He died of old age last May. I don't know how old he was but he was at least 21 when he died. He is missed every day.

Ruby, she missed Truman so much that she slept in his tiny bed for over a month after he died.

Dexter, he loves to swim. (He's the fish in the bottom of the 2nd photo) He has a tumor now and is 10 yrs old (old for a boxer) so we are trying to enjoy him every day that he has left.

Goats are troublemakers. :) Glad you were able to catch them. Dairy goats do remain fairly thin, compared to other breeds like meat goats and pygmy, especially those first two years. Yours look Nubian?

What good looking old girl. :) Border collies are such smart dogs. I hope she's with you a long time.

I love boxers. Our current one is 8 this year. They live such short, but joyous lives. I hope mine sticks around longer too. She's going in for a dental tomorrow. Her gums are growing over her teeth again. Something I have had to deal with with all 3 of the boxers I have owned.

Your kitty is adorable. Do your boxers get along with her? My current boxer Rosie likes to mangle kitties, so she's gotta be watched.

Truman lived an incredibly long life. He was adorable. :)

We are definitely learning this- we got them from a herd life and so are trying to settle them with us, Staples is fine with hs by herself but more skittish when with Daphne and Daphne will come for food only.
But we love them to pieces as they are our first goats so a lesrning curve.

And yes, Daphne is a Nubian, possibly x but unsure with what and possibly bred to a pure Nubian (so a big ol' waiting game). And Staples is a Nubian x Toggenburg.
