Glad that all went well, and judging by my friend it does get better.

Ice is nice. Be sure to elevate that leg above your heart when you are resting. With your stretches, remember that leg needs to bend AND straighten. Many total knee patients have a hard time regaining full extension b/c they have been gimping around on it for so long that the hamstrings become contracted.

The exercises are really hard, but I'm doing them, I'm icing, and elevating as well as walking around my table. I'm using a walker to get around. My husband is doing everything, I'm so lucky to have him. I'm a bit confused from the pain meds, and vaguely hallucinating, i saw a bug run across the rug that wasn't actually there. Thank you for all your encouragement. Hopefully it doesn't bother anyone if i share a picture of the incision.

That is some incision. Both my sister and friend had worse post op swelling. You're doing good.

Incision looks nice and clean. Keep up the good work. You need to let a few chickens in to catch those bugs. But, don't let them see your incision. They may just try to pull those staples a bit early.

Leg got more swollen yesterday, but thankfully went down a bit over night, still a bit swollen and itchy but better. My exercises are hurting more and are harder to do. I have my first therapy this afternoon, we will see how that goes. Otherwise I think I'm better than yesterday so I'm going in the right direction. I'm getting around a bit better and should be fine when my husband returns to work on Monday.

Good luck in therapy today- hope they treat you nice!! It's not all just Pain & Torture! keep working on the exercises- they sometimes get harder before easier. Glad you're getting around better today!
