Thank you. I will definitely do my exercises.I can't speak from personal experience but my mom had both of hers replaced about a year apart. The docs were amazed as she powered through the pain to do her exercises. They told her that's why it was such a success. It's just like sourland said. Good luck to you!
Thank you, since I've gone through shoulder replacement I do have some understanding of the pain, the difference is of course the knee is a weight bearing joint, so I imagine there's a whole nother aspect to it.Another thing I would probably ask your doctor (or the surgeon doing the surgery) is what kind of pain medications you can expect after surgery and throughout the rehab process it's not a question I would have asked in the past, but now being in the medical field I see often how human doctors can be a bit stingy with pain relief.
I've heard the same as others though. Rehab is definitely tough and the recovery can be painful, but it always seems like it was worth it in the end.
