Koop Clean

Hi everyone! I'm new to the chicken world - I am also in Canada. I am getting my day olds tomorrow from our local hatchery. Anyone on here use Koop Clean for the deep litter method? It was recommended to me but I'm having a hard time finding it here in Canada. Any recommendations for an alternative?

Not sure it would be good for true composting 'deep litter'.
Many like the stuff, but I personally think it's waste of money.

Thank you! I'm in Canada - so its pretty hot right now. I'm thinking of trying it this winter. I'll check the threads you mentioned. Thanks again!

How are your coop and run set up? Is it dirt floor or covered? Do you have poop boards or is the floor the poop board? @aart has a great set up for poop boards and coop. I'm kinda sorta copying hers in the new coop I'm building.

lol thank you!! i'll upload some pictures when I have a few !
we put vinyl flooring down but I'm thinking we are going to put a small poop board down. coop is 3 x4 and total run is 8 x 4. We only have 3 chicks just a small suburban backyard farm lol.

Well you have exactly the maximum number of chickens for the size of your coop and run. Good for you!

Yes ! I read about 3 books and so many articles on caring for chickens since I was so new to it.
