She's hunkered in a corner of the coop, I think she rolled all the eggs down out of the box and into her nest! She must be really determined. I'm afraid as soon as I get her hatching eggs or move her she will give up though, it would figure. I have 15 eggs on day 16 in the bator, but I'm afraid to put them under her...

I wouldn't give them to her, it's too soon and she could kill the chicks. If they were a bit younger (like 7 days or less), then she would be fine with them. I have tons of fertile eggs, but I'm no where near Lexington!!

new topic..anybody in the columbia area have mixed bantam eggs to sell..not to hatch..I want to pickle some for my grandson..he loves picled eggs but eats toooo many of the regular size ones..thought I might be able to find some smaller ones

One of my neighbors (not on BYC) has bantams, and ShelleyD has bantams. I can ask my neighbor if she has any she would be willing to sell. Hubby needs to talk to her hubby about a cow, anyway,

They live about a mile and a half from me, but their cows are across the road from our property, so we see her hubby all the time.

Next time I head to town I can pull into their drive and ask her, if you'd like.

Oh, and I'll start saving those hatching eggs for ya today, too
