hey Shelley, You might try John England. He comes to the Shepherdsville SY most Saturdays but lives down in Glasgow. 270-678-3555. He would be able to hook you up with some....

Shelley and anybody else who is interested. Friday and Saturday October 30th and 31rst is The National Young Bird Show for Pigeons and Doves at the Kentucky State Fair and Exibition Center (The fair grounds) I think that is also the weekend of the monthly swap meet at the Fair Grounds.

They will have pigeons of all kinds there, including Parlor Rollers, Show and Racing Homers, Tumblers, Fantails, Helmuts, Nuns, Priests, etc. I might try and make the Frankfort Show this weekend to see what it's all about. And maybe even the Shepherdsville swap to see the "Soap Lady"" if she is there. Shelley give me a call as I misplaced your number. 502-708-1064

here is a link to the show. We are going and I haven't decided if we are taking any birds....I need to get rid of some Sebastopols, blue wyandottes and a trio of SLW. Anyone else going to sell birds and show?

Hey soap lady....lol Brianna (my 4 year old) said she needs to go see you because her soap is almost gone.

Hey Mrs. Turbo: So is the Frankfort "sales" like it is at the stock yard?? Folks set up outside of the buildings for sales?

If you let me know what DD would like, I'll make sure I take some to Frankfort and we can meet up there..... If ya want.... I just made my DD a really nice strawberry liquid soap... the only thing is it is not the type to make lots of suds but it smells great.... My DD loves to wash her hands with it since it isn't sudsy...

Mrs. Turbo -- Blue wyandottes?? ooooh, how many, how much?? or should I ask, how much soap do I need to provide

Well, people just set up their sale birds.....I guess like a swap, but not sure how many people will be there. There is usually a goodnumber of people showing.

Not sure on the blue wyandottes.....It was one of those " um, honey....there are too many chickens out there and you need to take some to sell"

They won't be much but people usually go nuts over the blue color.

Does anyone know where I might find an Appenzeller roo? I bought a pullet at the Frankfort swap in June and didn't know what I was getting--just thought she was a cool chicken. Now I wish I had bought a pair and of course didn't get the name of the seller.

Hi!
I know everyone is probably getting tired of hearing this, but I'm hoping somebody can help me! I'm trying to find my hubby a golden sebright hen (or 2 or 3) I have a rooster, just need the hen. My problem comes in that I can't drive for hours to go get one. If you can or know of someone who can help me out I'd appreciate it!

thanks!

Jess

Hope you find one, the only golden sebrights I have are mixed with who-knows-what.

Anyone need a pekin duckling? I had only the one hatch, and I really don't want it. I'm pretty sure it's a male, it's been a while since I had little ones, but it doesn't peep very much or very loudly. 'He' is free to a good home, if anyone is interested.

ETA: The duckling is about 2 weeks old, give or take.
