Did you say he is short on weight? If so how short. He looks plenty stout.

It is always great to see eggs from a rare breed in an incubator..

He needs about a good lb of weight. I showed him because I never see them at shows down here. Everyone liked him a lot. People searched me out and thanked me for bringing him.

Good Luck Daniel! I am about to set up my breeding pens. I am dealing with tons of mud from all this rain we've had.

You mean snow? Haha. With as much snow as we've had here it'sbou nd to be nasty down that way

Well the rain finally caught up to us. Its awful outside, miserable, sloppy. But out of about 8(only chose a handful) La Flèche eggs I only candled 1 that showed no signs of activity. The rest have developed embryos. A couple will be out of Buckeye/Cull cross, dad wanted to hatch them for a friend.


So far so good, really hoping to see something turn up on New Years.

Got word on another breeder, in Illinois. He has not been showing for a while but has continued to breed them, according to the source of this information. But he does plan to get back into showing. I may need to make a trip to Illinois one day soon.


Also, the eggs are doing well. Some of the early ones never started. But everything that started to develop has kept going.
