What breed is this?
I''m new to chickens and picked up a chick out of a mixed bin at a feed store that was identified as a Wyandotte. When her legs turned olive green I suspected that she was something different and read on here that pure Wyandottes don't have green legs. Her feather pattern looks different from the silver lace Wyandotte my sisters got, and when I came across the gender identification guide of Easter Eggers on this forum, I realized she looked much more like a young Easter Egger than Google pictures of a young gold lace Wyandotte.

We wanted to get an Easter Egger anyway someday.

Is she pure Wyandotte or Easter Egger/Ameraucana/Araucana (I don't know the difference) or a mix?

I couldn't get a down straight head shot of her but she doesn't have much of a comb yet anyway.

Do you think this is how mine will turn out looking? Looks real similar except mine has blue feathered legs as her momma was a silky, dad is a lavender aracuana xx

Sorry to hijack the thread!

Araucana? No, I doubt that. Easter Eggers, or very rarely Ameraucanas, are commonly misnamed as "Araucanas". True Araucanas are very rare and are rumpless, meaning they are missing their tailbone. Rumplessness is a dominant gene, meaning if a rumpless breed is crossed with another chicken, no matter the breed, the offspring of those parents will likely be rumpless. Your chick is probably an Easter Egger/maybe Ameraucana crossed with a Silkie. She'll probably lay blue or green eggs, maybe white or pink.
