Lady Amherst chick genders?

    I have a pair of young lady amherst pheasants and I'm not sure if they're male or female, I know the male birds take a long time for their full plumage to grow in but I'm just very curious. I've heard you can tell by their eyes?

    The bird in the pic is male, it's iris is starting to change from brown to cream color. Also you can see the "tear drop" or wattle just below the eye, only males have wattles.
