Anyone try these? I sent them an email to see if they will tell me the average size of their "Jumbo" whites. Hopefully they might have some good stock as well. Don't worry all...I'm dead set on bringing the A&M back.

yourideezen.....Since Coturnix just like bobwhite are being mass produced the quality of the birds are really lacking. The birds being sold as "Texas A&Ms" are hardly anywhere close to being the real thing. The A&M was a bird in the 10-14oz range...todays birds are lucky to get to 8oz. The original A&M stock were also light fleshed. Which is another trait lacking/non-existant in many of todays hatchery A&Ms. I'm going to be trying to find who has the best of the best...well the closest to the original birds....and work off that. It will take awhile but I should be able to get there.

Thanks Ov

Sam i have no idea about their whites, but i got a bunch of their jumbo browns-- xld-1's a few years back and they are very nice stock.

I have some of their "A&M's" and am very happy with them. I have no idea about their jumbo whites either.
I got a good hatch rate, good stock, and no 1 pound, all white meat coturnix that tastes like bob whites, but they didn't promise that. I am curious about the jumbo whites, so please keep us posted.
