"Well now that Manex is here, I think Jack's leg is going to be okay... but I've collected something about the smokewolf..."
Kate's eyes were intensely curious "Go on, Eko"
It led them into the tower, going up a small flight of stairs and phasing through the dead end.
"Those animals are hiding something" He continued. "I don't know what it is, but there's a tower deep into their camp and its got ridiculous security. There's at least 50 guards there, and a bunch of strange security bars and nets. I was caught before I found out what's back there, but there is something they don't want us to know about."
Daruk led the way after the smokewolf.
Kate was about to reply with Grace and Garret arrived together, Grace began speaking quickly to Kate "He had no trouble at all, there were no guards around. He went in, went out and left without a hassle." Instead of being relieved the mission went so well, her eyes were worried, as were Kate's.
"Listen to this," She told Grace, and repeated what Eko had said. "I fear there is something more going on then we can see at the moment. Something we have not yet seen. Can you tell is anything else Eko?"
"I eavesdropped on a delegate conversation, and though I couldn't pick up anything pointing at what it was, I kept hearing something about 'The Devourer.'"
Several blue and red glowing bars and nets were in the way, shutting off as the smokewolf touched them. The guards that were standing in the hallway bowed their heads as they saw them.
"The Devourer?" Kate repeated, looking slightly puzzled. "I've never heard of something like that."
Grace and Garret looked equally puzzled "We did not hear such talk while we were there."
Kate turned to Maria, looking for advice, but even Maria had nothing to say.
