"Okay" Was all he said in reply. "Kate!" The pup screeched as he ran closer as fast as he could.

"Kate..." Eko gasped, struggling to breathe as his paws skidded on the rock. "I've got to tell you something and it can't wait very long!"

"Hold on, you lot never got a chance to see The Devourer did you?" The smokewolf asked.

"No, sir." Daruk said.

A small smirk appeared on the wolf's face. "Come with me then." The smokewolf phased through the wall out onto the ledge at the end of the spring and facing the tower.

Kate pricked her ears and looked up from the rabbit she was eating "What Eko?" She asked, her paws tingling with worry.

Reid came into the cave and set Jack down gently, his paws trembling with exhaustion. "Fetch... Manex." He stammered between pants. Julia nodded quickly and raced away to the back of the cave, returning moments later with Manex trailing behind.
