The smokewolf slightly smiled at Garron. He's got potential... "Alright, first tiers come down with me!" FanDance, Kismet, the armadillo, and the snake followed down after him. Otulissa and her friends waited for Garron and his friends.

Garron led his friends to follow the smokewolf.

A faint figure of a canyon could be seen in the distance.

He gave the griffon a questioning glance and watched the figure.

Otulissa and her friends followed Garron. The smokewolf led them to the bare bottom of the canyon, it was foggy and hard to see further than an inch. "Still alive, huh?" The smokewolf mocked the pup, who was barely alive. "We'll put the remaining life in you to good use. Take him away." Kismet walked up, grabbing the pup by his wings and flying back up after the smokewolf and FanDance. Otulissa and her friends followed.

Daruk led the others after the smokewolf in silence.

The smokewolf led them back up to the tower where the "Devourer" was. It led them up the staircase, through the walls, and into the room with the two headed creature.

A bat flew in and hooked the creature up to Eko (the pup) through a tube. The tube was stuffed into the pup's leg, slowly sucking a neon red substance from Eko's leg and into the creature's foreleg. It was far too bright to be blood, though it was obvious what it was doing.

It was draining his life from him.
