The pups chatted amongst each other while Otulissa and her friends talked with each other in the air, riding on the air currents. Their voices could be heard as they neared Kovi and Daru's den.

Kovi picked his head up, hearing the voices. The rest of the pack silenced, listening.

"Priceless!" Another female voice exclaimed, the voices louder as they got closer.

It appeared that Gretchen and Candy were talking about something that they found highly amusing. They didn't notice Kovi yet as they were still a good distance away, their eyes locked on each other's and not looking where they were going.

"I mean, to see Kate's head come tumbling in from nowhere- its gonna be a hoot!" Candy laughed.

"I wish I could go with you." Gretchen sighed. Just then they bumped into Eric.

"Would you idiots watch where you're going?!" He hissed. "We don't know if Kate's team is here or not!"
