As soon as Jack touched him, he disappeared in a puff of black smoke.

Jack bared his teeth angrily "Show yourself, you coward!"

Seemingly nothing kicked him from behind, sending him flying for about 2 feet before skidding across the snow. The creature made of smoke could be seen, laughing.

Jack landed on his feet and spun around to face him, without hesitating, he launched him at his and raked his claws across his cheek.

The creature was caught off guard, and a small bloody scratch could be seen. The creature's eyes flared, its eyes glowing blindingly bright. It snarled and whipped around, quick as lightning and grabbed Jack by his hind leg. It snapped his leg as the creature flung him several feet into the air, smashing his head against Jack's right before he hit the ground.

Jack screeched in agony as his leg snapped, his claws slashing at whatever came close enough.

The creature snapped at Jack's foreleg as it slashed its chest, swinging him around and throwing him into a tree. Its eyes were glowing blindingly bright; the creature was furious.

Jack sank his claws into the branch and remained there, using his wings for balance. His broken leg hung limp, and his eyes were glazed with pain.

The creature slowly walked up to him, a wicked grin on its face.

Jack remained in the tree, his teeth bared in a snarl.
