Her clones herded the badger, bear cub, falcons, owlet, eaglet, and the dapple foal down the narrow corridor. A small fire burned around halfway into it, and there were small perches embedded into the walls that hawks, owls, eagles, and falcons sat on, eyeing the children as they walked past.

The path led to a cliff where 2 wolves were waiting. On a high rock a hawk watched them as they spread out. Gabby and her clones stalked into the shadows while the wolves approached them.

The snow leopard watched them with a guarded expression, but did not seem afraid.

The lion cubs watched with cold eyes.

"We want you all to..." The first wolf said, turning to the other wolf "What was it again, Jaclyn?"

"To rest." The wolf named Jaclyn mumbled.

"To rest!" The other wolf said to the children.

"To lean back, put your muzzles and beaks up and turn your faces to the light of the glorius full moon." Jaclyn cooed at them.

"And sleep." The two said in unison, stalking away.

"Why would we want to do that?" The snow leopard asked scornfully.

"I think they're trying to moon scald us!" The falcon whispered to the snow leopard.

The cubs just did as directed and lay down facing the moon.

The snow leopard nodded "My mom told me about that" She whispered back "Don't look into it!"

 

[OwlLover]

The falcon nodded and squinted her eyes, looking as if she was asleep.

The snow leopard did the same, sitting completely still.
