Good luck with your meat production, I'd love to have some cornish x's as well...& hope to get me some RIR or longhorns for egg production, I've a black sex link & I think a red sex link as well...I'll need a rooster in order to have chicks...but need to find out what kind...

from Tennessee! I bought 12 sexed chicks, 6 RIR and 6 Buff O's. They are about 6 weeks old now and doing well. I got the Buff O's because I loved their yellow color and they are supposed to be pretty good layers of brown eggs. I got the RIR's because they are supposed to be more predator savvy and also are good layers. They were supposed to all be pullets, but one is a rooster, one of the RIR's. He may have to live up the road with some other hens...not at my house!
 
Nope not Standing Rock but close. Its nice to meet you all.

I have 3 Cornish Rocks , I think they are 2 males and one female. Not sure when I will kill them, they are 7 weeks old now.

3 Black Sex Link Hens

1 Production red hen

1 Black australorp hen

1 Dominque sex unknown.

Only have a small chicken tractor made. Not yet made a coop I hope to soon.
