Lame duck?

I decided after reading your post that I needed to move them to their bigger brooder. I put them in the kiddie pool to see if it will prod her to exercise a bit more. I noticed today that she seems more active in the larger space, so maybe I should have moved her a bit sooner from the small 2x2 enclosure to their intermediate 4x4 enclosure.

I am a bit worried that she is not particularly healthy....I had two ducks, but one died after ten days. A friend of mine had 5 ducks and she gave me one of hers, which is a week older. The size difference is amazingly stark. Perhaps my duck was not born very healthy and is therefore not walking and growing the way it should (her sister was so weak, that she didn't thrive)? She seems awfully tiny in comparison! This may explain her weak legs? To combat this I will most likely wait even longer than usual to move her to the duck run and outside....I am also keeping with the vitamin and niacin. I keep checking the food to make sure she is eating and she seems to be, but I am keeping a close eye on her.

P.S. I LOVE your duckhouse...wish my husband was interested in building me something that cute

Great job! I will probably end up at Lowe's buying a dog house! Course if she doesn't get stronger, maybe I will end up with indoor ducks LOL!
