Landrace project F1 chicks!!!

Pics
I am gathering birds for my landrace project. my goals are: big chunky dual purpose birds, disease resistant capable of surviving on free range. of course I'll be feeding them as well but with hard times knocking the door I wonder if chicken feed will be available.

I have already got landrace chicken that are about 50-60% of what I want. that saves me at least 3 years of breeding. I will mix them with egyptian fayoumis (disease resistant and good foragers). some of them I will mix with black star and the next step will be F1 landrace x fayoumi/ f1 landrace x black star. I also plan to breed a barred landrace roo with hybrid legbar hens. I should get autosexing green layers. I might need to cross them back to a legbar roo if I can get one. hens are easy to check for green/blue egg gene (those with 2 copies have egg shells blue/green both inside and outside). these green layers would be much bigger than legbars and would probably lay more eggs.

Soooooo... Goshawk may or may not have gotten out of his coop due to an improperly closed door on his coop and gotten into a fight with his younger brother Saffron... I honestly don't know what do. They're both drenched in blood worse than any other fight I've had between roosters and I'm worried cleaning them off and disinfecting stuff might stress them out too much

I think Saffron should be fine... But Goshawk is just absolutely drenched, I feel so bad for the poor dude

Saffron has a bit of his wattle missing and that's about it on serious injuries, but Goshawks entire comb is cut up as well as his wattles

They should be fine. They're likely both hurting, and the pictures probably don't show what you're seeing, but they don't look bad to me. As long as cleaning them up doesn't chill them, I'd say go for it.

Or you could leave it and let them clean themselves, which is likely going to include dust baths, preening with a dirty beak and feet that have walked through poop.
