Here is the latest pic I have, but it's a few weeks old, sorry that it took so long to post it.

These are my Black Langshans and Speckled Sussex.

Rodriguezpoultry, have you ever crossed a black langshan with a white one? What do they look like? Do you have any pics?

I am getting some Blue and Black Langshan hatching eggs in the spring from SQ line

Thank you Yessur! I'm sorry I did not see this thread pop up under my subscriptions! Do you have any more photos of your birds? The photo is very tiny on my computer.

As for the black x white breeding, unfortunately I have not done it. I do not have any white birds. At some point I will eventually get them, but at the moment, my blues and blacks are taking up my eyes completely.

IMO, once you have the SQ ones, the production ones just seem "small". BUT, they have great personalities either way you get them and they are impressive birds even with hatchery quality.

Took these photos today of the blue birds. The blue female without leg feathers has nice leg length and nice lacing. The blue (or splash??) male will get more length as he gets older, so I'm not too worried about it. His leg feathering is to die for and will only get thicker with age. His tail angle worries me, but it's not awful and is certainly better than his father's. If I can get a female with low carriage, it should alleviate his high angle in his offspring. There's another blue pullet...but she's my "secret" for the moment. I'll get photos once her tail comes in a bit more. She is something to behold...

The blue pullet will probably be bred to her grandfather to better her offsprings' tail angle. I have a black female that will go very well with the blue male...decisions, decisions. I still have the backup blue male with the back-up flock (should something happen to get my better birds).

Just to revive, gonna add some photos. Anyone else with updated photos?

I wish this hen had longer legs...but it's what happens when you try and raise Langshans in "natural" winter lighting.
