Langshan Thread!!!

He definitely looks like a mix. I'm more concerned about that blue Cochin mix thing. What on earth is wrong with it's foot? It's like it's upside down on it's leg??

Now that the white male is older, it looks to have a modified pea comb. Which means he is probably mixed with a single combed bird. Which bird did you say you got these from?

lol the blue cochin has a deformed foot. thats y its like that. I got the white bird from a Bin at my local Tractor Supply

The second photo looks like she has some lacing. Is that a trait for this breed? I've been following this thread, but I don't have any... Yet. Is she black or blue?

i made a thread on Langshangs just yesturday but no one commented LOL, i love them im getting 4 more 8 week old Pure Bred hens in a month or so cant wait

i LOVE all the different kinds and colours of the chickens everyone posted on ill try and get a few of my own up.

Nah, no lacing. She is black. I think it is just the lighting.

Did you use her to make that young male?

I breed Andalusians and I can tell you, if she is a "blue-bred" black, she does have lacing but the only time you can see it is when she's in strong sunlight... as she is. If you haven't used her to make some blues, may I humbly recommend that you do? She would make some really nice ones for you.

Hello Everyone! I attended my first poultry show yesterday just to observe of coarse for now! I had never seen the Langshan in person until then. I fell in love immediatly! So welcome me in the world of Langshans, I am forever a fan and can not wait to learn enough about them to be able to get my hands on some. Looking forward to watching this thread!!

No, they are not related. He is a bantam langshan. The black pullet is a LF langshan whose father was black and mother was white. A certain someone on these boards has a gorgeous splash male i'd love to use with her.

They are a neat breed. What do you have so far? Large fowl or bantam? What colors?
