I think I might have a Roo with one of my Langshan Chick how can I tell?
My Chicks are 14 weeksHow old are your chicks? Mine are a little over 8 weeks and I'm pretty sure I have a blue roo and a black one, out of my six Langshan chicks. The Roos develop their comb and wattles quicker, and brighter red. I've spent a bit of time comparing mine to arrive at what I think is correct. The pullets combs are smaller and more of an orange- pink color and their wattles arent really visible yet. While both the Roos have larger combs, definitely red combs and visible wattles growing. Their legs also appear thicker to me, more male,
This is my first year owning chickens, so I'm not an expert, but this is what I've learned so far from my own research and asking questions.
Your Little Roos do look like Roo to me But I am still new at raising Chicken. Your Roos are Beautiful!![]()
