How many people breed the croad Langshans in the U.S. not the hatchery birds

All Langshans in the US are "Croad" Langshans. There's quite a few breeders, right now the hot spot is in the North East, but other parts of the country have strong followings too. How old are your chicks? Mine are a little over 8 weeks and I'm pretty sure I have a blue roo and a black one, out of my six Langshan chicks. The Roos develop their comb and wattles quicker, and brighter red. I've spent a bit of time comparing mine to arrive at what I think is correct. The pullets combs are smaller and more of an orange- pink color and their wattles arent really visible yet. While both the Roos have larger combs, definitely red combs and visible wattles growing. Their legs also appear thicker to me, more male,

My Chicks are 14 weeks
Old and I do have one Black Langshan that does have a red Comb kind of red.. Here is a pic of mine

Your Little Roos do look like Roo to me But I am still new at raising Chicken. Your Roos are Beautiful!

It's very, very little crest for a 14 week old male. But different clutches/breeds/family lines develop at different paces. I would expect more crest and wattle, and redder ones, on a 6 week old male of just about any breed, though.

It's possible that this may be a roo, going mainly by comparison to the others of the clutch; but it's very underdeveloped for a 14 week old (but that is normal for some breeds, though I've not seen Langshans develop that slowly).

It's more likely that this is the pullet that's most likely to lay first.

However, if you can get a closer image of the neck and tail feathers, we will probably know for sure. The tail feathers look like they may be developing along male lines.

Here is a little bit better pic of this Langshan that I think it could be Roo. But all my langshan might all be Pullets and they are 14 weeks old I got them all in April 5th of this year.
