I had a newer picture from a post day before yesterday under breed gender forum. I cant seem to move existing photos around or upload /embed them only post then take a photo.

Can't steal photos from BYC even if they are your own.

I actually meant from my camera phone, not another forum. I was directing another member to a specific thread since they opened an older one. But that's good to know thanks.

He's cute, whatever he is! You may have a better idea once he has gotten a little older. Some breeds look a lot alike when they are chicks.

I hate to say this, but I am thinking of replacing my 2nd in command rooster. I have 3, the top two are Black Langshans and the bottom one is a Phoenix. I caught my less dominant Langshan grabbing a hen and tossing her to the ground, she didn't want to be mated so she stood all the way up with him standing on her back and tried to run off, but he slammed her back down and then started pecking her hard on the head, then ripped a bunch of her neck feathers out and ate a few while still keeping her flattened. I realize that chicken mating isn't all that pretty most of the time, but this isn't the first time I have seen him do this. I am afraid he is going to hurt one of the hens and I don't think that his behavior is normal. He gets the least action of my 3 because all the hens try to run away from him (presumably because of his terrible manners).

I am guessing this probably isn't fixable? He is my favorite of my males due to his personality and ability to get along with people, but at the end of the day I have to pick what's best for the hens since they have to live with him. Is this something I should be worried about or I am just blowing it out of proportion?

They are so adorable! I have not set up my Langshan breeding pens yet this year. It is on my to do list for this week. I keep putting it off because I need to transport my big pullets to the farm which means letting go of some control over them. But I do want some feather legged chicks!
