I am glad to hear that. It will save you in the long run. Maybe keep one or two of the best ones though...just to make sure you have enough males? Unless you are as lucky as I am and have 75% males each time...

Very nice, I will enjoy reading it and watching Larry and the others grow.I have started a little blog about my back yard flock. I wrote a bit about my Langshan's today. I'm not sure if etiquitte on this site allows for links but if its a problem I'll gladly take it down.

Crossing fingers for us!Very cool tinkseattle! I look forward to your blog!!
M, that male is looking GORGEOUS. Makes me drool each time I see him!
I have a friend that battled pox a few years back. I don't know whether it was wet or dry. Anyway... she said they were having trouble breathing and I suggested VetrX to her but she didn't have any. I asked if she had some mentholatum or vicks vaporub. She said she had vicks and would try putting some above their beaks for the sinuses and maybe below for the throat, I don't really remember but what I DO remember is that she said she was holding her bird and opened the little tub of vicks and as soon as she did, that bird grabbed a mouthful of it and swallowed it!Well I've had a sucky weekend here.
Been battling fowl pox...AGAIN this year. This time, wet form. Lost a blue pullet (8 months) and a splash pullet with clean legs and probably going to lose my blue cockerel without leg feathering.
UGH. Put down a bantam white cockerel that was sickly as he wasn't anything special and I didn't need him. So, all in all, probably going to lose about 5 breeders for next year.
I am desperately trying to prevent any spreading. So far, all the chicks seem to be doing well and I believe part of that is from the hen that already has immunity to the disease being in the pen with them. I've vaccinated all of the older chicks and am hoping they make it.
Nothing else I can do. Sucky, sucky weekend. Glad I got a "feeling" and started hatching again before this hit. I just had a feeling something was coming.
