.... but, this time I snuck eggs under my huge broody hen. I hope she can take 17! So far she looks to be covering them just fine. She's a first time broody, but her momma was a good one

I have a new broody as well. Last night she had only 3 eggs (laid in the nest she chose yesterday) but she's been on the nest all day. So now I get to figure out what to give her. I've already got a broody with EE chicks, maybe BCM? My luck she won't hatch them or will run off and leave them all

i have a new broody also, my forth i already have three with new chicks, two with seven and one cochin/silky mix with ten little chicks nine silkies and one polish, this last one i gave seven polish eggs, janie

I am still waiting for the "cure" to be said. I am just now starting to hatch my own babies. I have had chickens for 2 years now but I have always bought babies. My DH is already building me a new brooder this weekend and a much bigger coop that is separated for the different breeds. Right now I am hatching out Australorps, Cuckoo Marans & Buff Orpingtons. I can't wait! lol (And I am ordering Silver Laced Wyandottes and Golden Laced Wyandottes)

I have 14 turkeys and 2 marans out so far... still 13 eggs to go and then there's 20 pheasants due on Monday... Then the ducks more turkeys and marans and then the ICELANDICS!!
