Thanks for the wellwishes, guys. It has been a terrible few weeks over here. Once my eggs in my incubator are done (June 1st) I will no longer be hatching this year. [famous last words].

Tonya Harding Chicken got her name because one night when the girls were still "newish" my boyfriend and I were out in the coop around their bedtime watching them roost (it is hilarious if you've never watched). Well my blue andalusian, who hadn't been named, wanted a better roosting spot next to the wall instead of in the middle where she was currently located. She started pecking at the chicken next to her in the "kneecap" area (I know chickens don't truly have kneecaps) to get them to fly down and give her the spot. And she proceeded to go down the roosting line getting what she wanted with this technique. And thus, Tonya Harding Chicken was born.

Good morning all you hatchers out there! Sorry I have been kinda MIA but had a hectic week last week. SCG sorry about your wry necked chick. I had to cull one from the NYD hatch due to bad cross beak. I did the kitchen scissors method as well and wasn't very happy with the results either. I am going to do the ether in a sealed can if I have to cull a chick again. Not a lot of fun to have to cull a chick for sure

I want to remind everyone that this is the last week to get your entries in for the Foul Fowl contest. So far I have only two entries. I know more of you have got to have pics of youngsters in that "teen" stage!
