Laree's "I CAN'T STOP MYSELF FROM HATCHING!!!" Hatch-a-long

Foul Fowl - a white La Fleche chick that managed not only to poo at the wall, but then rub along it. Nice.

My first hatch had 24 eggs, 2 of each breed. They were shipped so many had detached air cells. I put one of each on their sides and one of each in a carton. I had five hatch of 24 and were on their sides..so I'm not a fan of the carton. Could have been just luck...but who knows.

Speaking of the Easter Hatch, here are a few of my month-old chickies. The cool thing to do is hang out on the edge of the box and land on my husband when he's brushing his teeth. Oh, yeah. Everyone's doing it.

Ok pulled the last eggs left in the bator from this weekends hatch. I had to do a quick cleaning and lockdown the next batch

Hatched:
3 Welsummers, 7 BBR, 4 Seramas & 1 bantam mix?

Next batch are a bunch of my freerangers, we found a nest of 17 eggs. Just could not waste them.

Also stuck in some bantam mixes and some EEs. Set 31, lockeddown 24.

I have a few more chicken hatches (4), a big Guinea hatch (5 doz), Ringneck Pheasants and I am waiting on some D'uccles. Then I think I will be shutting down the Dickey for the summer. Grow out what I have, sell some, keep some. Don't laugh, I serious !!
