You all are so silly! I actually bought these pre-hatched.

I lost the blue one in the front today. I have no idea what happened. No marks anywhere on her.

I have 3 left.

Turkens get no respect I tell ya. They are sweeties.

I have 5 new chicks this am hatched under a 1st time mama and she is doing a great job ! It should be interesting, she is a BBR mix, real tiny and I gave her 5 LF eggs. Those babies will out grow her in a month

From the eggs I got from my consolation prize at the easter hatch, I have two hatched chicks and one almost hatched out. He zipped all the way and kept pushing but couldn't get out last night. I checked this morning and he was not budged. I decided to move him because he was pinned between the wall and an egg. He was glued to the floor! I don't know if it was his gunk or from the other eggs. I pulled him free and set down and he immediately bust out of the egg. But half the egg is glued to his back. I'm gonna let him try to free himself, but will clean him off later if its causing problems. The first hatchling was the funniest little chick I;ve ever seen. His body was soooo tiny but his legs were long and feet were huge. He'd trip over them all the time. WEll a few days later he grew into his feet and can run soooo fast! He always flaps his little wings when he runs and tries to jump out of his box while flapping. He's extremely loud and follows me everywhere. We love him sooo much already. We do think he's a rooster though. He's obnoxious.

Of my 2 mo old chickies my fave is a rooster so when he crows I'll have to get rid of him, and now another fave is probably a rooster. No one told me how much roosters rock!!!

I went outside to check on Betty the Broody. Today is day 20. I thought I heard peeping but wasn't sure because the 6 week olds are living on the first level of the coop. I lifted up her wing and this is what I found!

first hatch ever! She (we are being hopeful here) looks a little dead but she was peeping loudly and breathing well. I congratulated Betty and left them alone.
