I'm finally done hatching!

I've got 12 from my own flock (5 turkens!!) and then 14 from Muggs (3 turkens!!).

2 eggs left in the bator but they're not pipped nor when I tapped did I hear any activity. I'll leave them another 24 hrs then write them off. And that's it until Mahonri announces the 2012 NYD Hatch (famous last words).

I mean it. I have to... I've got... uhm... currently 63 chicks/chickens (I think I counted everyone and I sold some last night). Pretty soon I'm going to need to be inspected by the USDA. My coop is only an 8x20. I hit capacity 3 hatches ago.

Did I mention my phoenix is broody again?

so far i think i have 18/26 hatched .... kinda hard to count them all when they all huddle up together.

I just went into lockdown for the last time this spring.

Good thing, I'm exhausted! I don't plan to hatch again until I can hatch my own eggs, assuming I end up with a few pullets not just roos.

So I am locking down with 9 Black/Lav Split Ameraucanas and 10 OE (I think, maran eggs are hard to candle). The should hatch on Sunday.

Well, I have a hen with 5 chicks (5-3/4), a Muscovy mom with 2 ducklings (5-4/5), a single chick from a broody hen (6/2), a Muscovy still on her nest and 59 eggs due the end of next week in the bator. I know this hatch "officially" ends tomorrow.......but I'm sure I'm not the only one that will be hatching beyond then!!!!

I'm not planning on using the bator again this year...notice I said planning.....but eggs happen!!

Momma Anna with chicks hatched May 3/4.

Momma Abby with ducklings hatched May 4/5.

Momma Asta with her single chick hatched June 2.

I promised DH I'd put the incubators away after this last bunch hatches

But broodies don't count do they?

I have one last batch of eggs in the bator. By all that is holy, NO MORE HATCHING THIS YEAR!!!

Unless, of course, I have early birds for the 2012 NYD hatch. Can't help those ones
