OMG you had your hands full today. Sorry on the loss of your duckling.

Maybe the pups will learn easily.... catching them is always the hardest since pups assume that means playtime. DD has a hard time catching her 6 month old boxer because he thinks her chasing and yelling means play!

ETA: Of course I just sit and watch and

I alread set a bunch that are due to hatch on the 17th including turkey eggs saved from a racoon raid and several Iowa Blue eggs from my flock that was killed by dogs a few weks back. So far I have only removed 2 clear chicken eggs and 1 turkey.

I also have shipped eggs coming next week (shhh! haven't told DH yet

when it comes to chickens.............

and 12 semera's in the other due May 9th...................
Adn I am talking , conjoling, my hens every morning asking
'don't you remember how much fun it was to go Broody last year".

This is starting to get comical. 20% of my of-age flock is either sitting on eggs or mothering chicks from eggs they sat on.

Thank goodness for my hatchery layers (RIR, sex links, EEs and white leghorns) that continue to lay eggs and aren't puffing up, growing and pecking at me.

My Buff Orph is the latest offender, I thought I had broken her, but I was sorely mistaken. So now I've put 3 eggs under her. Of course.

I'm really tired today and my wonderful boyfriend just asked if I'd like to go to bed early and he'll do the nightly lock down procedure complete with chicken count.

I do not want him going out in the coop and seeing my shameful inability to not hatch something.

Now I know I have a problem.
