Finally the help I need. I am so OCD- Obsessive chicken disorder. Hi, my name is Jamie and I have 10 wonderful eggs in the bator now. Due to hatch on the 12th-13th.

I am such a diehard incubator that when storms roll thru, the fear of the power going out makes me broody. darn it I will sit on those eggs if I have to!

A funny chicken story. My EE got all her butt feathers pecked out....thats not the funny part. I found my girls with blood all over their beaks and found my white EE a bloody mess. I treated her for days w/ Antibiotic ointment and over time her white feathers turned a dark grey. Well I took her in my house and tried to give her a bath to get the dirt caked goo off her. After her bath I decided to try to blow dry her feathers to help her along. Well while I blew her dry, she helped by preening herself. Well my husband opened the bathroom door and his eyes about popped out of his head.

"Are you ok?", he asked. Yes I am fine. It was that day that he realized how obcessed I am over my chickens.

I'm so excited! A couple of weeks ago I mentions to dh that someone on craigslist had jersey giant eggs for sale. He told me I was crazy and I had to many chickens already. I really didn't want to drive that far so it didn't matter that much. Well this morning he and the kids surprised me with a dozen eggs! He wanted 2 dozen but the lady only had 1 doz available now. He and the kids went to her small farm last night while I was out with the girls and picked them up. My dd said her chickens were beautiful and huge! So now I have 12 jersey giants in addition to the 29 remaining duck eggs in the bator!

ShelleyD...I would have an attack with that many babies....give me a couple months, might be stacking too...shhhhh.

I am on my first 'bator, eggs from hens I got a couple weeks ago....kept in a wine cooler while collecting....put in bator...candled at 4 days and I can see veins on 6, blood streaks on a few, and some I couldn't see as the shells looked speckled..what could that be? But out of 15 and first time batoring, I am so excited, can't stand myself...May 25 will not come soon enough...

Well I just set 21 of my eggs and 10 lovely eggs from Wolftracks. So now I have 32 eggs in my sportsman.
