Large BR Pullet about to be 36 weeks and hasn't laid!

Girl. Maybe a girl with some kind of issue, but still a girl.

Those rounded saddles do not lie.

That's exactly what I was thinking... Like, it's definitely a very confusing chicken, but her feathers always were rounded so I was feeling confident in her being a girl. I'm under the understanding that Roo saddle and sickle feathers are long, thin and pointy. The lack of eggs and huge comb/wattles is no doubt strange, but she stands, behaves, and appears hen from her feather shape. She also never tries to mount and is actually picked on by her smaller flock mate.

I would bet my life on it.
How on earth is it male? Yeah, it has a large comb. But you don’t sex birds by combs at this age.

I would like to know your reasoning that it "cannot be" male.

It’s thirty six weeks old. It has no male saddling. And at this age, that comb is within the normal for a hen.
