"Large" chickens :-)

I know he is a broiler. We bought him for that purpose. Of course my problem is I got attached to him. lol He won't be around much longer. But I don't think I can do the job when the time comes. Hubby or somone else will have to do it!

In reference to the barred rock I think I have, it is a different bird than the broiler (cornish X RocK).

Oh great I always try and be sensative I feel like that is what they should be used for

and you should not make them suffer just because you have a soft heart. ENJOY you chicken dinner I want to raise some meat birds soon.
