Large chunk inside egg??!

We cracked open a couple duck eggs this morning and found a weird mass in both eggs, I’m wondering if this is lash egg or something else??? She’s an older duck at least 5-6 years old. I’ve never seen this before, thank. Also is it safe to eat the rest of the egg?

It looks like it might be a lash egg to me; which in short is made of caseous material due to inflammation of the oviduct (salpingitis). This can be a common problem in older ducks, especially those who are bred for egg production. Here is a picture of a lash egg I took from a Pekin Duck. Especially since the bird is so old, I suspect this to be the case. Excluding surgical corrections that would need to be performed by a vet, these birds tend not to live much longer, unfortunately.
