OH my goodness!! I LOVE that name and it is perfect for him. I have a chick that I named Matilda for the same reason. I am hoping it is a she as I suspect.
What is the one on the left called? It may be barred but it Looks like a blue partridge. Sorry blue feathers get me a tad excited!! Must have more blues!

Hi, I love the blues also. But, I believe this chick to be a black mottled cochin. Which I would prefer to a barred cochin. :) I do have a blue Cochin posted somewhere.
here is her picture. I have been told by the breeder that she is a blue partridge, but I think she is a Lemon Blue. She is older now and she is becoming quite the beauty. Thank you for commenting. :)

You are thinking this one is mottled? Looks much different from my 3 as chicks. What black or blue mottled? My blacks are still mostly black at 4 months old. They get mottled more after molt.

Here is a better view of the lil stinkers. These are bantams too. My LF are blue, splash and black. Have a splash cockerel coming soon.

Yes, I was thinking black mottled. But, I guess she is barred? I can't seem to find any pictures of barred chicks.  lol  The anticipation is half the fun.

My guess would be barred too.  My mottled are not nearly as evenly spotted as that.

Yes barred, my older mottled aren't that light. My bantamson I showed you are 4 months old and I am waiting for them to molt so they are mottled more. Lil man is getting so colorful still!

Not that I know of it meaning anything. Think barring like Barred Rocks. It has that type of pattern to me. I do not have any Barred Cochin but the breeder I get my stock from does. Your chicks is spot on for them
