I just picked these guys up yesterday, and wanted to show them off. I

the blue boy (Chick Norris- HIYA!), he's such a sweetie. I do think the buff (Kickin' Chicken) is a frazzle. He's got a little feather breakage on his wings, but the feathers feel soft and fluffy not brittle. The lady I got them from said he was picked on, so who knows. The little smooth buff is General Tso. They're 12 weeks old, so not too far behind all the girls. Not the best pics either, sorry about that. In the first, they were still in their cage on the back of the truck. In the second, they are in quarentine. They haven't been really happy about being in the hutch-but they'll just have to deal for a few weeks

Thanks for sharing! They are great! I have a hen sitting on a few eggs that I hope will hatch. 1/2 are frizzled, 1/2 smooth. I'm REALLY hoping for a frizzle! I'll post pics after the hatch (hopefully!!)

These guys are 16 weeks now, the Roo is so big I can't hold him and get all of his body parts in the frame. Was worried about the heat but they've handled it well.

I love the gold laced! I have 5 that are still little, but can't wait to see them grown! Also, you would think of the 5 at least one would be a rooster but no luck!

Next, comes the hard work, of getting rid of the vulture hocks.

Agreed, I'm tempted to not use the roo becuase of them but another breeder said wait him out, he may grow out of it? Admittedly they're pretty bad, he had them as a chick.

The hens thankfully don't.

He appears to old enough that the waiting period on the vulture hocks may be over. I'd like to see a side view of him. From the one pic, he does appear to have more even coloring than most on the hackles, saddle and wings. Some end up with 3 different colors.

From my (limited) experience, females generally get their breast lacing first. So I'm wondering if the one hen with incomplete breast lacing will get any better. But she seems to have better lacing on the back and tail.
