My silver laced Wyandotte hen just acqired this large egg size hard lump below her ear on her neck. It’s above her crop, her crop is fine. She is just a year old.
Anyone had this before? Treatments?

Okay I thought tumor. It had grown in a week, it was golf ball now it’s large eggs size. She’s still acting normal. I can’t find a vet near me to see her.
 
There are a number of different kinds of tumors in chickens, some from viruses (leukosis and Mareks,) but there are other types as well. Fast growing doesn’t sound too promising, but I hope it isn’t serious. I’m not sure a vet could do too much, but let us know what you find out. If you should lose her someday, you could have your state vet do a necropsy to look for what it might be. Here is a list of state vets in the US that you can contact for necropsy information:
