Larkwell Valley (2023)

I've seen some really nice hoop coops.
They also seem like they would be possible for me to make by myself, which would definitely be a plus since eventually I'll have my own place and won't have family that I can get to help build all the time.

And if I get another breed or variety, I can just make another coop 😅

Okay. I really like their look, and I think I might just do a handful of those when I move instead of building another minibarn
I would probably start with one and see how it works during one winter, before making more.

If it collapses from snow, or blows away in the wind, or needs electric power to keep the water from freezing, then you can tweak the design and build all other ones in the way that works best for your specific conditions.

Second home grown duckling. No hook on the bill, so mallard derived? @Canadian Wind ? But im not sure where an all yellow would have come from since the only males that are out there are Moose and my blue Swedish male. Could it be a silver Swedish?

Knuckles is in love, I'm so proud of her. First time mama too and she's only had this egg for two days. The rest under her will have to go under someone else now though since they're not close to hatching (and chickens)

To tell you the honest truth, I'm still having trouble telling the difference by bill! The only reason I could tell with mine is by colour. Scovies tend to have several colours on their bills.

I don't know if this duckling is white though, as it seems to have a bit of a darker tinge at the ends of the fluff, although that may be shadows?

It could have some darker tinge, he was still a bit damp when I found him this morning, honestly didn't expect him to hatch so soon after popping last night. The others have all been very slow

If these ducklings are mules/hinneys, how long before I'll know? If hate to sell them only to have someone wind up not getting what they thought they were buying, but these two almost certainly won't be staying here either
