Larkwell Valley (2023)

It's still off in the future, bur I need to start looking for silkied breeds that fit my phoenix and Cornish body types for when I move. I have always wanted to work on silkied phoenix and I think silkied Cornish might actually do a bit better with the cold than the clean Cornish bantams

I'm going to be going through my nearly year olds from last years order as well. Out of the accidental lavender Orpingtons I have one who's tail feathers grew in facing the wrong way. Also have a blue Ameraucana that's on the small side.

I'm gonna need a picture of that

Butchered 6 birds today. Johnny Law, Dodgeball Face and 4 silkie males. Got their hackles and some breast feather patches.

Still have like a dozen more to go, plus chicks as they grow, but this was a good dent and now I have 3 cages emptied in case I need to seperate someone

Got a better look at them, it's not backwards but the tail just doesn't look right or like the other three I have. It's more like its collapsed in the middle. It came in that way. My lavender Ameraucana rooster is the same way.

They are clay colored because they love the river bottom sand I have and dust bathe in it alot.
