Made a list of 45 chickens to stay. It's really hard. I have 6 or 7 I really Want over that, but the limit is 45. Granted like 8 or 9 are OLD, but it's tough.

Ducks aren't being limited as strictly because i can still sell them if I need to

Is there a reason for the number being 45? I was just curious. My top number for ducks was going to be 10 but I ended up with 15 because I was never very good in math, lol.

I cannot bring myself to narrow it down any further. It already is more than it was supposed to be. It's a bit less than half my current number of chickens

I kinda like the look, myself. Makes them look like a big box. Don't know why, maybe the same reason I like my Cornish bantams

Most of my Mallard derive# ones haven't actually tried to fly
My khaki does somewhat, and buff did once or twice, but other than that, it's mainly been my scovies

You are so right, my Rouen ducks can only get around 3 feet off of the ground but my big Mule Duck with a huge wing spread can do every bit of 6 or 7 feet which amazes me.
