Well, I changed my own mind and ordered the Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance EX with the humidity module. I tired to order the King Suro through Kemp's Koops where it was on sale for $299.00. I called them to inquire about expedited shipping and could not actually talk to a live person, you have to leave a message. Three messages have gone unreturned. Then I went back to their website and tried to order it online and when I add the item to my cart it defaults to a price of $379.00. So I tried calling again and still no response. The only other USA place to order it is more expensive and is drop shipped and takes a lot longer, up to 12 days. I also found a site online that says the King Suro are "clearance" priced right now which made me even more leery. Red flags all over the place!
So I bit the bullet and went with the Brinsea and 3 day shipping. So on Tuesday I will have my anniversary incubator and on Wednesday I will list my LG and Hoba on Craigslist! I have lost 50% of the eggs that I started hatching and the one I opened last night had a boiled egg yolk after all the temp spikes. I see very little movement in all the other eggs so I am expecting the worst but hoping for the best. They went on lockdown last night. I sat up all night adding water to finally get the humidity up.
I am going to try my hand a hatching a rare breed early next year and I want to improve my odds of a successful hatch.
