When you interrupt a hatch be sure to rapidly return the piped eggs to the exact same position in relation to the center of the Earth and the Sun or other light source in operation while the eggs were incubating. Failure to do so may confuse or bum-foozle the hatchling causing it to assume a position in which it may be unable to turn in a manor that will enable it to hatch.....his is my last viable egg and I dont want the baby to turn like the other and die. I am quite worried even though I think this baby is going well. I am keeping a close eye on it what should I do if it turns? How long between pipping and zipping and zipping and hatching? It has been externally pipped for about 18 hours and shows no signs of wanting to zip. It is alot quieter
He is all dry and out of the incubator. Just wondering there seems to be a dried blood mass attached to his navel. It isnt bleeding and isnt big enough to show through his fluff it is just there. Is it a scab? And will it just fall off? Or do I need to do anything? He is active and cheeping and happy. Just wondering if there is anything else I need to do/worry about
