Last minute incubating!

Day 15. Just candled the eggs. All are dark. I cannot see through any. The air sacs at the top all seem to be different sizes and the bottom of one is almost clear. Is this normal? No smells. Temp and humidity have been fairly constant.

The air sac look between day 7 and day 14 on the chart.

Yesterday was lockdown. I candled all eight. Unfortunately it looks like three might be quitters. They were still light at the bottom. The rest look good. Can't see a thing through them! The airbags still look a little on the small side though.

I've set the brooder up. It's all cleaned and disinfected. Fingers crossed. Hatch day on Saturday.

Well it's day 20. Egg no. 8 that I thought was a quitter has started to pip and roll around!

First one is here! I'm not sure if this is good or not. There was some albumen left over when it hatched.

It's very lively and knocking the other eggs all over. @ronott1

Day 21. First chicks doing slot better now. She may have a curled toe. I can sort that out when she goes in the brooder. Two more eggs are pipped!

No 2 hatched! Another is pipped! Moved No 1 to the brooder.
