yay for confusion. mcmurray's has it with the "red". oh well. RIR does sound more likely.

Don't that figure, kinda like hatcheries amerucanas/araucanas that are really just easter eggers.
 
yeah, mcmurray's call them araucanas, but i've been around here long enough now to know that that wasn't the case. i do love the four EEs i got in the assortment though. very pretty.
 
Oh, don't get me wrong ee's are nice. But they sell them wrong so everyone else sells them wrong and it makes it very hard to find the true ones if you want to.
 
A New Hampshire (no red at the end) is more of an orange color, than dark red and tend to have black around the neck on the hens. Now when dealing with hatchery birds, it can be a toss up. But yours has a deeper red color to it, but I could be wrong.

do RIRs have the black on the neck too? because i was looking at her yesterday and noticed that although she is a rather dark red there is black around her neck as well as on her wings and in her tail.
