We all have certain amounts of e.coli in our bodies anyhow. As long as it stays where it's s'pose to no problem.
The reason I know this is because my DH almost died from systemic e.coli in 2007. It was fine in his gallbladder, not causing any trouble, until his bile duct got blocked by a gallstone. Stuck in the gallbladder it multiplied and when the stone moved it was released into his bloodstream.
Shut down his kidneys and his liver, attacked his muscles and was working on his heart and brain by the time I got him to the hospital. Doctors gave him a 50/50 chance.
He still suffers from the aftereffects to this day. His immune system will never be normal again.
I don't eat foods that are meant to be cooked first, period.
